‘THE TAIERI INVITATIONAL’
Labour Weekend 21st – 23rd October 2022
Here is information about this year’s Labour Weekend tournament.
There will be 4 sections of 8, with the top two teams from each section progressing through to play in the Main event. The 3rd & 4th teams from each Section will progress through to play in the Plate event.
Main Event Winner $ 3200
Runner Up $ 1600
Third & Fourth $ 800 each
Fifth to Eighth $ 500 each
Plate Event Winner $ 500
Runner Up $ 300
Special Prizes Many Teams $ 800
Total $ 10,000
Friday 21st October 2022 at Taieri Bowling Club
Between 6.00 and 8.00pm you must register your 4 x Playing Team Members and collect your Team’s Playing Pack, which will comprise of the Playing Conditions, the Section and playing order your Team has drawn and your Teams 2 x complimentary 100 Club Raffle Tickets.
This will then assure your Team is represented at the Calcutta which is scheduled to start at 8.00pm.
At this point your payment of $ 300.00 can also be accepted.
Please note that we have increased the entry fee by $60 a team this year.
NB. It is expected that all teams are represented on the Friday night.
We will be playing all games at Taieri. All teams will play on Taieri (McDonald Green) and Taieri (Wilkins Green).
Post section will be played on the Taieri No 1 green on Sunday afternoon from approx. 12.30pm.
Post Section play will be “live streamed” by Bowls New Zealand staff.
“Rink 9” the Clubs Bistro will be open between 6.00 and 8.00pm for those wanting food on Friday night.
NB: The organising committee reserves the right to make changes conditions and prize allocation if deemed necessary.
